Friday 6th 2014 St Clements Carol Service saw a record attendance!!

ST CLEMENTS CAROL SERVICE 2014

The first Friday in December saw the yearly carol service being held once again at the old St Clements Church in West Thurrock. The evening had in excess of 90 people from both the local community the regions Associates attend. Thurrock’s deputy mayor, and Michelle Reynolds, the vicar of the new St Clements Church, also attended. Michelle giving the Christmas blessing. Hot mince pies, hot sausage rolls, tea & coffee were all supplied by the plants restaurant, along with sherry & wine which Gerry Hughes, (church chairman), had brought along. The bushes leading up to the entrance of the church had been decked in fairy lights which were kindly erected by Paul Wilson from the plants HR department. The evening consisted of quite a few carols with readings injected following each one. This was a culmination of a lot of hard work and dedication which the church team had put in during the year. Thanks were also given to Michelle Murray & Paul Wilson (both from HR) for their continued support in church events. Open weekends will commence once again in 2015 with the first weekend of each month April – September inclusive, and all involved were looking forward to another successful year ahead.
